About VidCamp

VidCamp – The media 2.0 unConference is an informal gathering of smart, curious and bold thought-leaders brainstorming and sharing their knowledge and passions about where media 2.0 is headed. It is a one-day, open and collaborative forum where people from hi-tech, broadcasting, film, telecom, podcasting, interactive media, mobile, gaming, animation, literature, academia, arts and several other industries will discuss future trends, challenges and opportunities in the converging world where digital entertainment meets Internet and mobile technologies.

VidCamp will take place on Friday, February 17, 2006 from 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM, at the Morris J. Wosk Centre for Dialogue at Simon Fraser University, 580 West Hastings Street (Entrance off Seymour).

We will have a facilitator who will introduce the concept of open discussions and assist in brainstorming. In the morning, we will have discussions, both as a large group and in smaller sub-groups, focusing on questions such as:

In the afternoon, those attending will share, in smaller groups, their insights and thoughts regarding specific area(s) of expertise as it pertains to the questions discussed in the morning sessions.

While we will plan some activities, do keep in mind that the agenda will largely be determined by you!

NO SPECTATORS, ONLY PARTICIPANTS

Everyone who attends VidCamp is asked to either present, ask interesting questions, and/or assist others with their presentations. When you come, please be prepared to share with others. When you leave, be prepared to share it with the world!
